Located in Black Canyon on the Colorado River, the Hoover Dam is the highest structure of its kind in the world. It is an outstanding achievement, noteworthy not only for its enormous dimensions, complex design and intricate construction, but also for it's illustration of man's outstanding ability to overcome the desert's summer sun, the vagaries of a treacherous river, and the extreme hazards of great heights on the chasm's sheer walls.
Don't forget your camera, you'll have many photo opportunities while exploring this wonder of the west!
- This tour has an approximate pick up time of 12 pm, with returns at 5:30 pm (approx)

Did you Know?
Hoover Dam is 726 ft. tall. That is
171 ft. taller than the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. and twice
as tall as the Luxor Hotel/Casino (338 ft.)
At its base, Hoover Dam is as thick
(660 ft.) as two footballs fields measured end-to-end.
As many as 20,000 vehicles a day drive
across the 45 ft. wide top of the dam between Nevada and Arizona.
